Client of the Month: JANUARY - Lesurma "Chocolate" Orr

I'll often hear a client say they need to lose weight to get their diabetes or high blood pressure under control.  What was told to me by Ms. Lesurma Orr was totally unexpected.  "Chocolate" (as she is affectionately referred as) is not only losing weight to save her life, but the life of a relative as well.  In Dec. 2011, after a series of tests, it has been determined that she can now donate her kidney to a niece that desperately needs it!  She is on a timeline that will indeed save the life of a loved one due to her courage & selflessness!  She is admired for her sacrifices and for this Ms. Orr is the Client Of The Month!

When you think of the words “Exercise or Boot Camp”, the mind will automatically focus on negative words such as: no, can’t, hurt and pain. Now let’s refocus and channel those same words into positive ones such as: yes, I can, healthy or saving a life. Everyday living is in the form of an exercise or boot camp: I walk uphill to the train; I speed walk for the bus; I carry heavy bags – be it my pocketbook, shopping bags or both. Now I want to be healthy about it for me & also to possibly save my niece’s life. Being healthy to me means fitness - which leads to better eating habits, exercising and resting; all of this keeps the mind right and the body organs functioning properly. It’s not just the weight loss, but “imagine having the ability to save a life and not be a doctor, a nurse or even medically educated…but through transplant”. Thank you Coach MD for considering me for the Fantasy Fitness Client of the Month award.

Client of the Month: FEBRUARY - Jim McGown

Jim is an online client that receives Fantasy Fitness' individualized training & nutritional programs.  A former track athlete and father of three young children.  His busy schedule and his old training practices have kept him out of shape, and away from his kids, and in the gym too long.  He's since incorporated my plan, modified his eating habits & lost 11 pounds this month.  This is major for him since he's been training since December (on his own), and hasn't dropped a pound in over 10 weeks!

Before using Coach's program I was spending over 90 minutes, sometimes TWO HOURS in the gym!  My wife and kids didn't like it one bit.  He's designed a program that tailors to my needs and gets me in & out of the gym!  The 45 minutes I do train are challenging, with (cardio) intervals and total body movements.  However, his program, along with the subtle changes he's made in my eating habits have me down to 216 lbs. from 227 lbs.  I look and feel better although I have a ways to go.  The best part of it all is I get to spend more time with my family!  Looking forward to my continued progress with your assistance Coach!

Client of the Month: MARCH - Shamika Turner

Simply put, Shamika did EXACTLY what I've told her to do regarding changes to her nutritional habits!  Here's her story...

I'm a mother of 2 yr. old twins. Once my twins started eating table food I became the human vacuum cleaner. I would eat what they left behind to stop food from going to waste. One day I went to chase my son and couldn't catch my breath! Never really paying attention to my weight (I hid the bathroom scale under the twins potties), I finally stepped on. To my surprise I was 217 pounds!! WOW!! Then it made sense why my clothes fit tighter and I couldn't catch my breath. I couldn't deal with the idea of being 217 lbs., so I turned to Facebook (which has an answer for everything) about my ordeal. I immediately got responses from friends, but one friend gave me the best advice by mentioning she had a friend who helped her drop her pregnancy weight. She then gave me Coach's  info and I immediately contacted him.

I first talked to Malcolm Davis who later became "Coach Davis" to me on February 1, 2012. I explained my situation, goals and health reasons (blood pressure was high, 130/94) for wanting to shed the weight. Coach Davis explained his teachings and invited me to view the next two classes. At the time he was running a "Shoe Special'' (the cost of the session is your shoe size). Like all, I had excuses for those two classes. But jumping back on the scale that Sunday night, I knew what had to be done. I came that Monday February 6, 2012 and been with him every since.

Many hear "BOOT CAMP WORKOUT" and freak out. I did to. But his camp is not like that. It's FAMILY LIKE. The women I've met in his camp are beyond supportive! We cheer each other on to reach our goals. We push each other, and laugh to get thru the workout. We make it our own. It's fun, energetic and I've come to admire all the women in this camp. This is a great group of women!

So I'm proud to say that I hit goal #2 of being 190 lbs. Yes, I understand that's a lot.  Keep in mind I weighed 217 lbs. February 6, 2012. As of March 23, I've lost 27 pounds I'm a proud to weigh 190 lbs., with a blood pressure of 126/82 and maintaining!  My next goal is 180 lbs. by end of April and 170 lbs. by the end of May. It can be done and Coach Malcolm Davis is the one to do it!!!
